"These guys are like my brothers"

"It is a privilege to play for Barça"

The Olympic Games of 1992 left the FC Barcelona baseball teams a ballpark: a place to train and compete. The youth team is made up of young people, of mainly Latin-American or Catalan origin.

The Barça baseball team provides an opportunity for players to establish meaningful relationships, helping to foster their self-esteem. Being part of the team has taken on a central role in the lives of young Latin-Americans and breaks down some of the stereotypes that society has of these young people. They are extremely proud of representing FC Barcelona, which has become part of their identity.

The coaches, who are also from different cultural backgrounds, teach the value of working in a team, confidence and respect. Their perception of sport with regard to integration or multiculturalism, is simple: friends on your team become your family.
