"In the end, the most important thing is to win. It's as if your pride was at stake"

"Today, the stars on the pitch are your family, friends and neighbours"

The Tot Colors (Multi-Coloured) football tournament, organised annually by FC Barcelona in collaboration with various town halls and associations from all over Catalonia, aims at bringing together players from different cultures.

In the preliminary phase, some Catalan cities hold single day tournaments between teams mainly comprising immigrants, who are often gathered together in nationalities. The final phase is played at Barça's installations and the teams there are made up of players from various nationalities representing the participating cities.

Barça's involvement and the holding of the final at the club's grounds add significance to the event. The players gather together beneath the club's symbols, and the club becomes a space for cultural diversity.

Friends and family cheer on the players in a very competitive atmosphere in which, occasionally, tensions boil over. This shows that often, the principal value of sport is victory.
