"You have to show the boys that you're strong"

"They call me 'the Serb' and he's 'the Catalan'"

Korfball has been introduced into the P.E. classes of the Vázquez Montalbán High School in Sant Adriŕ de Besós. Pupils at the school come from various countries, such as Georgia, Serbia, Ecuador and Morocco.

Korfball is a sport similar to basketball. Points are scored when a player manages to get the ball, without having bounced it, through a basket. The peculiarity of this sport is that men and women play together.

The practice of korfball at the school offers an example of a more global integration resulting from an impartial interaction between genres and cultures through a dynamic activity that demands both physical and mental skills, as well as values like fair play and team work.

This sport offers a vision of the future that is more inclusive and socially inclusive for our communities.
